February 29 - Rare Diseases Day

💎Rare Disease Day is celebrated on the last day of February – February 28 or 29 – and aims to raise awareness of rare diseases and their impact on people's lives. It is a reminder to others that care and access to treatment are essential for those whose needs are often neglected.

🧬The celebration of Rare Disease Day dates back to 2008, founded by the European Organization for Rare Diseases (EURORDIS). Today it is a global movement, with the participation of more than 100 countries of the world.

🔎Rare diseases occur in a small number of people, although their total number is large. These rare conditions are associated with medical and social problems, and raising awareness is important for sufferers and their families to receive better opportunities for diagnostics and treatment, and support for medical and social issues.

🩵 Laboratory "Synevo" offers a non-invasive postnatal test for newborns - "Baby Sensor 100+", which examines 250 metabolites in a urine sample and provides the opportunity to diagnose more than 100 genetic metabolic disorders.
