In the presence of at least one symptom characteristic of an allergic process (rhinitis, runny nose, itching of the skin and mucous membranes, sneezing), the duration of which is 4 weeks or more, a test is recommended (allergy panels and individual tests for allergens are used as needed). It makes sense to carry out research in the presence of symptoms and for differential diagnostics. The sensitivity and specificity of Fadiatop-Infant test is 96,5-98,5%.
The test allows us to differentiate atopic (allergic) dermatitis from other dermatitis.
A positive response to Fadiatop and Fadiatop Infant indicates that a person is allergic to at least one component of the given allergen mixture. However, when contact with the allergen ceases, the concentration of specific IgE decreases again, so a negative response does not rule out allergy.
