General Information

Fadiatop

An allergy screening test with high sensitivity and specificity for inhalant allergens. It is an enzyme immunoassay and examines the presence of IgE antibodies to a mixture of allergens such as: grass, tree, weed pollen, cat and dog fur, dust mites and mold. A positive response means that the person is allergic to at least one of these allergens. It should be noted that the test does not assess sensitivity to foods, drugs and various chemical agents.

When should we take the test?

In the presence of at least one symptom characteristic of an allergic process (rhinitis, runny nose, itching of the skin and mucous membranes, sneezing), the duration of which is 4 weeks or more, a test is recommended (allergy panels and individual tests for allergens are used as needed). It makes sense to carry out research in the presence of symptoms and for differential diagnostics.

Possible interpretation of the results

Laboratory tests allow us to differentiate atopic (allergic) dermatitis from diseases such as seborrhea, eczema, toxiderma and others.

Reference values

A positive response to Fadiatop and Fadiatop Infant indicates that a person is allergic to at least one component of the given allergen mixture.
