General Information

The Covid-19 and Influenza (Influenza) A/B combined multiplex rapid test allows simultaneous detection and differentiation of viruses that cause the most common respiratory tract infections of the cold season: Covid-19, influenza A and B types.

The rapid covid-19 and influenza (influenza) A/B test by lateral immunoassay qualitatively detects SARS-Cov-2 nucleocapsid and influenza A (including H1N1 and H5N1) and B viral antigens in a nasopharyngeal or nasal swab specimen.

When should we take the test?

Respiratory viruses cause acute, local and/or systemic pathological changes. Difficult cases occur in the elderly, immunocompromised patients and children.

Both Covid-19 and influenza A/B flu can have varying degrees of symptoms, ranging from no symptoms (asymptomatic) to severe symptoms. Common symptoms of covid-19 and flu include:

Possible interpretation of the results

Positive Result :

Indicates the presence of covid-19 and/or influenza (flu) A/B viral antigens. Correlation of clinical symptoms and other diagnostic parameters is necessary to determine the infection status. A positive result does not rule out other bacterial or viral infections.

Negative Result :

After 7 days, patients with symptoms need to be confirmed by molecular testing. (PJR method).
A negative result is considered in the context of the presence and history of symptoms characteristic of recent contact, covid-19 and/or influenza (flu) A/B.
