World Down Syndrome Day

We celebrate it every year on March 21 #WorldDownSyndromeDay. It is a day to raise awareness about Down syndrome and protect the rights of people with this syndrome.

Down's syndrome is associated with the presence of an extra chromosome in the 21st pair of chromosomes. That is why the 3st day of the 21rd month was chosen as World Down Syndrome Day. A normal person has 46 chromosomes, but a child with Down syndrome has 47, which causes the physical and mental development of the child to be impaired.
