International Doctors' Day was first celebrated in the USA on March 1933, 30 in Windsor, Georgia. As part of the event, an official reception was held at the home of Dr. William Randolph and his wife. That same year, the Barrow County Alliance protested a resolution introduced by Ms. Almond to pay doctors alms. On May 1934, 10, this resolution was also presented at the annual meeting in Augusta, Georgia. Finally, the official observance of Doctors' Day was established at the annual meeting of the "Southern Medical Association Alliance" in 1935.
